Was kann ich mit dem Drucker machen?

Der Drucker erlaubt folgende Funktionen:

Kopieren
Drucken von einem USB-Stick
Scannen auf einen USB-Stick.

Alle Funktionen unterstützen beidseitige Verarbeitung (Duplex) und Papiergrößen bis zu DIN A3.

Zum Scannen und Kopieren bietet der Drucker neben einem Flachbett auch einen (weniger zuverlässigen) automatischen Dokumenteneinzug.

Ist das Drucken komplett kostenlos?

Ja, der AStA Zweibrücken stellt Drucker und Toner bereit. Zum Drucken muss eigenes Papier mitgebracht werden!
Das Angebot richtet sich ausschließlich unsere Studierende.

Wie muss mein USB-Stick formatiert sein?

Damit der USB-Stick erkannt wird, muss er unbedingt mit FAT32 formatiert sein. Wechseldatenträger mit über 32 GB sind in der Regel inkompatibel. Wie konvertiere ich einen USB Stick in FAT32

Welche Dateiformate werden erkannt?

Die zu druckenden Dateien können in folgenden Formaten auf dem USB-Stick vorliegen: PDF, TIFF, XPS, JPEG, TXT und PRN
Dateien über 5 Megabyte sind grundsätzlich nicht zum Drucken geeignet und müssen komprimiert werden

Empfohlen wird PDF. Seiten müssen unbedingt korrekt als DIN A4 bzw. A3 Seiten angelegt sein!

What can I do with the printer?

The printer allows the following functions:

Copying
Printing from a USB stick
Scanning to a USB stick.

All functions support duplex processing (double-sided) and paper sizes up to DIN A3.

For scanning and copying, the printer offers a flatbed as well as a (less reliable) automatic document feeder.

Is the printing free?

Yes, the AStA Zweibrücken provides the printer and toner. You must bring your own paper to print!

How should my USB flash drive be formatted?

To ensure the USB stick is recognized, it must be formatted with FAT32. Removable drives over 32 GB are generally incompatible.
How to convert the USB flash drive format to FAT32

Which file formats are recognized?

The files to be printed can be in the following formats on the USB flash drive: PDF, TIFF, XPS, JPEG, TXT and PRN
Files over 5 megabytes are generally not suitable for printing and must be compressed.

PDF is recommended. Pages must be set up correctly as DIN A4 or A3 pages!
